In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. He prayed to the LORD, who answered him and gave him a miraculous sign.

Subject: We need strength

This a tough one for our family... and since I don't want to write a book (Believe me I could!) I am going to leave out some facts. To make a long story as short as possible...My niece is going thru a very bad break up and not only him..but his family as well...claim to be very religious (His father actually used to be a pastor out East) and have been using bible verses as a defense for their bad behavior. Even tho it is my nieces decision to leave she is still heart broken....And this man and his family are harassing her. The mother has posted a blog on the Internet stating lies and horrible things about my niece and our family. We were weak and responded in defense which only made things worse..we are sorry for our actions and removed our comments and told them we would not participate -- Yet they still blog on and on. I asked the site to close the blog but they never replied. I find it disturbing how people claiming to be close to God can post such things -- And how is it that this same mother cannot recognize what she is doing is wrong? Additionally, letters and emails are being sent to my niece in an attempt to win her back...but there is no apologizing, no remorse, and no promise of change...And he doesn't even recognize there is a problem aside from the fact that she left him...He is a professional writer and is good with his words proclaiming his love for her which only confuses her... and us. Please pray that we are all strong (especially my niece) and that God leads on the right path....whatever path that may be.

I'm praying that your niece (and your family) would hear God's heart in this situation and rest in that. This is obviously a painful situation on many levels, but it doesn't change who God is or that He has a plan and a will for his truth to prevail. I pray that you would have peace, that you would be able to be still and listen, and that you will clearly hear HIS VOICE in the midst of the clamor as He speaks into this painful situation.
